Horseback riding in the Celestial Mountains 8 days
Horseback riding in the Celestial Mountains taking the shepherds' paths on the great chain of northern mountains and around the lake of Song-Kul.
Day 1: Bishkek
We will meet at the Manas international airport and transfer to Bishkek. Rest in a guesthouse or hotel. Visit the capital city Bishkek and its center, contrasted city of Soviet architecture but with nice parks and superb walks. You will visit the Osh Grand Bazar
Transfer: 45 min
Day 2: At the foot of Shamchy Pass
Two hour transfer before we find our horses. And we start our trekking, crossing the pine forest of Karagaï-Bulak with its beautiful landscapes. Arrive at the foot of Shamshy Pass at 3560 m altitude.
Horseback riding: 4h
Day 3: Shamshy Pass and Sarala-Saz
We will cross the the Shamshy pass 3560 m of altitude. After a long day we reach the "jailoo" of Sarala-Saz. A summer pasture of nomads. At the end of the day the vehicle drops us to Kochkor village.
Horseback riding: 5h
Day 4: Kilemche
We start second stage of horseback riding. A transfer of 1h 30, to meet the horses that we will ride to reach Song-Kul. Arrival at the "jaïoo" Kilemché (flower carpet long local). Camp at the edge of a torrent.

Day 5: Song-Kul
We cross Jalgyz-Karagai pass at 3250 m altitude. The horses will go slowly to cross the pass and reach the steppes of Song-Kul, paradise of horses.

Day 6: Free day
During the summer a large gathering of Kyrgyz nomads cover the whole landscape. Discover the life of the nomads. Possibility of a horse ride or walk.
Day 6: Transfer to Ak-Saï
We will continue our discovery of the country and leave Song-Kul Lake. We will cross the Kalmak Ashuu pass at 3400m altitude. We will arrive at Lake Issyk-Kul, the second largest mountain lake in the world after Titicaca. Camp by the lake. In the afternoon walking in the canyons.
Day 7: Return to Bishkek and return flight
Departure for Bishkek by the "Boom canyon". We will visit the site of Burana, an ancient city from the Karakhanid period of X-XI century and arrive in the Kyrgyz capital in the afternoon.
Day 8: Return flight
A Francophone Kyrgyz guide (one or two assistants depending on the number of participants in a group), a driver. Meeting at the airport upon arrival and the accompaniment during the whole stay proposed on the program. A horseman with his packhorses for the treks.
